Kadens journal is an independent nordic journal documenting endurance, movement, identity, and the environments that shape both. 

Through long form stories, photography, and print, kadens explores the culture surrounding running, trail, skiing, and outdoor movement, beyond performance alone.

Kadens Journal Issue 01 is the inaugural print edition of the journal, exploring Nordic endurance culture through long form storytelling, photography, and design. Moving between Arctic races, Norwegian mountain landscapes, Swedish forests, and the quiet repetition behind performance, the issue features Whispers of Lapland, The Summit Is Not the Point, Above the Noise, A Running, Gathering Lifestyle, and Nekrotrail — a portrait of Oslo’s underground ultra running scene. Profiles and conversations include Jakob Åberg ahead of Cocodona 250, Andreas Almgren on training and life at altitude, Sigve Knutson on movement and creative process, Patrick Stangby’s relationship to the mountains, and a visual profile following Shanga Balendran through training and everyday rhythm.
