Baemin has become a critical mover and shaker in South Korean contemporary food culture, and B provides a balanced view on brands through multi-layered stories. This collaboration brings together these two areas of expertise in F, which is hoped to become a record of essential ingredients and food culture of our time.
The subject of the 22nd Magazine F is 'Olive'.
Olives, the fruit of the olive tree, have been cultivated for thousands of years and have had a profound impact on human food culture. While it is recognized for its effectiveness as a perfect vegetable fat and a source of high-quality energy, it is also sacred as a symbol of abundance and peace thanks to its unique vitality that survives harsh environments. More than 2,000 types of olives are produced in countries in the Mediterranean basin, such as Greece, Italy, Spain, and Algeria, and olive oil produced by pressing olive fruits is called ‘liquid gold’ and has been the basis of the Mediterranean diet. Among them, extra virgin olive oil is the only food ingredient with an official certification evaluation method, and it is showing its presence on the tables of people around the world.
