This collaboration brings together these two areas of expertise in F, which is hoped to become a record of essential ingredients and food culture of our time.
Magazine F is a food documentary magazine that, together with Magazine B and Baedal Minjok, selects and introduces food ingredients that have a significant impact on human food culture. The theme of the 27th Magazine F is ‘Fish’.
Fish has a history of being eaten for tens of thousands of years. Representative fish caught in the sea, including cod, salmon, tuna, herring, and mackerel, have played an important role in human food culture. In particular, the salting culture of salting fish for long-term storage can be easily found in any region bordering the sea, and fish dishes, which have been developed into various recipes tailored to regional characteristics, serve as a major source of protein. In the 2000s, depletion of fisheries resources emerged as an environmental problem, and several environmental groups are continuing their efforts to create a sustainable marine ecosystem by proposing consumption guides and diets that protect fisheries resources.
