Popeye – Issue 882: City Boy’s Essentials
POPEYE magazine is the “Magazine for City Boys”.
The founders printed this on the cover of the magazine when it debuted in 1976. What’s a “city boy”? The term doesn’t appear in the dictionary and no expert panel could define it. So we felt we should explore every aspect of what this “city boy” might be. After decades of debate, it still makes for a topic of lively discussion. It can be a style or a way of thinking. To get an idea of what makes a city boy, read POPEYE magazine.
2020 Autumn / Winter Fashion Issue
Yes, I’ve noticed my messy closet, and I know it’s time to put some serious work in to organizing it. Searching for that sock that’s lost it’s other half, separating striped shirts and solid colored ones, and deciding what I really need to buy now and sticking to it, so that I can live comfortably throughout each season.
Having said that, I happened to find a nice vintage cap and bought it without any thought today, however I turn to Nigel Peake, who I thought was the type of the person who has a precise plan for his wardrobe and puts a strict limit on the amount of new clothing he buys, well he is also apparently buying new suits soon, so he is my justification.
New clothes make us happy. The most important thing is to decide what to buy. Shirts, sweat tops, coats, and sneakers etc. With this fashion issue, let’s make a plan for your fashion life for the next season.
- City boy’s essentials: Let’s wear basic clothing.
- Shirt / oiled jacket / uniform / leather shoes, and so on.
- Welcome to my closet: Chris Gibbs and Mordechai Rubinstein
+ many more regular features, including POPxEYE and popeye notes.
