The Humanist Review of AI – Issue No. 1: People & Technology

The Humanist Review of AI is a new quarterly publication exploring artificial intelligence through a humanist lens.

Funded by Microsoft AI, it brings together writers, philosophers, economists, technologists, artists and cultural thinkers to ask how AI is changing society — and, more importantly, what kind of people we want to become in response. Rather than treating AI only as a technical subject, the magazine looks at intelligence, work, creativity, ethics, governance and human character as cultural questions.

The Humanist Review of AI Issue No. 1: People & Technology is the debut issue of a new quarterly publication funded by Microsoft AI. Across essays and conversations with thinkers including Alain de Botton, Naomi Alderman, Daron Acemoglu, Jonathan Nolan, Audrey Tang, Nick Cave, Cass R. Sunstein and Sarah Guo, the magazine explores artificial intelligence not only as technology, but as a question of society, ethics, creativity, work and human character.
